Porchlight Counseling Services, a program of Center for Law and Social Work, provides free counseling, educational presentations and workshops, and other services. The agency is located in Chicago, and serves students who live or attend classes in neighborhoods across the city, as well as in the neighboring cities of Evanston and Oak Park.
Counseling is a very effective way to help heal the pain and work through the issues that often accompany sexual assault. Porchlight counselors are highly trained, highly educated professionals who can offer you a wealth of services. We will work with you based on your schedule and location, and our counselors are not here to try to persuade you to take any particular course of action. Porchlight is here to help you and support you during a difficult time.
PORCHLIGHT INSPIRES ALL STUDENTS
TO SEEK HEALING AND EMPOWERMENT
Our programming – in partnership with schools and specialized therapists – focuses on offering college and graduate students who have experienced sexual assault free counseling services. A combination of free, confidential therapy, outreach, and educational workshops creates a program that aims to help students find healing and empowerment and discover a life that is not defined by the devastating experience of sexual assault.
